Permitted EFoils

We welcome all brands of electric hydrofoils and electric retrofitted boards (foil assisted, foil drives) to participate, as long as they pass our safety and tech inspection to ensure they’re in good condition and safe to operate. Don’t have your own hydrofoil? No worries! We’ll have XFoil boards available for you to use, so everyone can join in on the fun!

Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded to the riders who achieve the fastest lap times while successfully navigating all course buoys. Each board will be equipped with a high-tech transponder to ensure accurate timing and tracking. Participants will receive a detailed performance report, including ride path, top speed, lap times, cornering Gs and additional metrics.

  Don’t have an EFoil? No problem! We’ll provide you with the XFoil Alpha 2, one of the best boards on the market. Challenge yourself on the track with this state-of-the-art hydrofoil, and experience the thrill of flying like never before.

Safety Information

All participants will receive a safety briefing before taking to the water. If you're bringing your own EFoil, you must sign the waiver of release of liability form and supply your own life jacket and helmet. For those using the XFoil board, a life jacket and helmet will be provided to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM

Rules

All eFoils are permitted to compete as long as they have a maximum output power rating of 6,000 watts (8 HP) or less. Both propeller and jet propulsion systems are allowed. The total equipment setup must not exceed 90 lbs (40.8 kg) and must not exceed 72 inches (183cm) in length and 30 inches (76cm) in width. Must not have a mast longer than 36 inches (92cm).

For safety, all riders are required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket and a helmet at all times during the event. Prior to racing, each eFoil will undergo a mandatory safety inspection. This inspection will check for structural integrity of the hull, proper function of all safety features, and ensure there are no issues that could lead to equipment failure or pose a risk to the rider.

The competition will follow a time attack format, there is no head-to-head racing. Each rider will compete individually against the clock. A timed transponder will be provided before entering the course, and transponder data will be downloaded upon exit to verify lap times. Each participant will complete a total of three laps. The first lap is a non-timed warm-up lap and does not count toward the final result. Laps 2, and 3 are timed, with the fastest valid lap determining the rider’s final ranking.

To be considered valid, laps must be completed without skipping or colliding with any buoys. Any lap in which a buoy is missed or struck will be disqualified from timing. Only clean, valid laps will count toward a competitor’s final placement.

Parking & Amenities

On-site parking is plentiful, and fresh water stations will be available for rinsing off your gear. Restroom facilities are also provided.
