When you purchase an XFoil, your order will ship from one of our global fulfillment centers. Upon delivery, you have 48 hours to inspect the contents of your package and verify proper operation on dry land. This includes connecting the system and testing the motor, batteries, remote, and all applicable components to ensure everything is functioning as expected.

If, for any reason, you are not satisfied within this 48-hour inspection period (based on the carrier’s tracking delivery date and time), you may request a return and refund.

Return Conditions

To qualify for a refund, all returned merchandise must meet all of the following requirements:

  • The product must not have been used in the water.
  • All items must be undamaged, in brand-new, resellable condition.
  • All components, accessories, hardware, tools, manuals, chargers, and original packaging must be included.
  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
  • return authorization (RMA) must be issued before shipping items back.
  • Purchases must be made through our official website, xfoil.com. Crowdfunding platforms such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo are not eligible.

XFoil reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these requirements.

Inspection & Deductions

Upon receipt, our fulfillment center will conduct a complete inspection. The fulfillment team has full discretion to determine:

  • Whether the product is in resellable condition
  • Whether any deductions are necessary for:
    • damage
    • missing parts
    • signs of use
    • compromised packaging
    • operational wear

 

If applicable, deductions or restocking fees will be communicated before the refund is finalized.

Refund Timeline

Refunds for qualifying returns will be processed within about 14 days after our fulfillment center receives and validates the merchandise.

Additional Legal Terms & Protections

Right to Refuse or Cancel Orders

XFoil reserves the right to refuse returns, cancel orders, or deny refund eligibility in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, abuse of the return policy, or attempts to return units that have been used in water or modified.

Condition of Returned Goods

If a product is returned in a condition that renders it non-resellable, XFoil may:

  • Reject the return and ship the item back to the customer at their expense, or
  • Apply deductions up to the full value of the product.

Risk of Loss

The customer is responsible for:

  • Properly packaging the product for safe return
  • Purchasing adequate shipping insurance
  • Any loss or damage that occurs during return transit

XFoil is not responsible for returned items that are lost, damaged, or misdelivered.

Exclusions

The money-back guarantee does not apply to:

  • Units used in water
  • Units showing signs of impact, misuse, or unauthorized repair
  • Accessories purchased separately
  • Clearance, final-sale, or open-box products
  • Commercial or rental use unless specifically approved in writing

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • XFoil’s liability is limited solely to the refund amount of the product returned in accordance with this policy.
  • XFoil is not responsible for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of time, loss of use, or personal injury resulting from improper handling or unauthorized use.

Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction within Santa Clara County, California.

Policy Updates

XFoil reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue this policy at any time without prior notice. The policy in effect at the time of the customer’s order will apply.
